It appeared that Dana White finally had enough of Cyborg and said that they were out of the ‘Cyborg’ business....

DC confirmed to Helwani that he plans on entering the Octagon one final time and will take on Stipe Miocic for the title. Cormier reiterated that win or lose, his next fight against Miocic will be the last time we see the future UFC Hall of Famer compete inside the cage. Cormier’s wife Selena had a big role to play in his decision to fight again as she didn’t want his career to end on a loss to Miocic....

Up until today, the card was without a headline bout, however, it is now confirmed that Middleweight contenders Jared Cannonier (12-4) and Jack Hermansson (20-4) will scrap it out over five rounds to close out the show. In case you didn’t know… Hermansson and Cannonier are both sitting among the top 10 middleweights in the UFC, with Hermansson ranked #4 while Cannonier sits at #9. Hermansson managed to crack the top 5 by upsetting the odds to claim a victory over Ronaldo Souza in April....

Despite Conor being out of action since submitting to Khabib Nurmagomedov back in 2018, his return and a possible victory will make an odd-man-out of Justin Gaethje. In a recent interview with ESPN, President Dana White made some comments as to the position of Gaethje in the Lightweight division, to which the fighter responded to on Sirius XM’s MMA Tonight. Amidst all the celebration, McGregor took the privilege of commenting on Mayweather: “Floyd’s not ready for this. He is 20-8 with one no-contest in the UFC and is on a 10-fight winning streak. “Do Bronx” beat Michael Chandler at UFC 262 to win the UFC lightweight title. At UFC 269 in December, he beat Dustin Poirier via submission to defend the belt. Gaethje made his MMA debut in 2011....

Teixeira made his pro debut in 2002. After going 2-2 to start his career, Teixeira went on a 20-fight win streak. Joining the UFC in 2012, Teixeira lost to Jon Jones in 2014 for the UFC light heavyweight title. Since then, he is 11-4 and is currently on a six-fight win streak. Teixeira beat Jan Blachowicz back in October 2021 to win the UFC light heavyweight title. A Czech National Championship gold medalist in Muay Thai, Prochazka made his pro debut in 2012....

Speaking at a press conference where he officially announced the formation of his own MMA promotion, Eagle Fighting Championship, Khabib said that he doesn’t have any competitive interest in a rematch against Conor McGregor. However, The Eagle also stated that if the UFC is willing to offer him a huge sum of money, he may consider the option. Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently retired from MMA. Khabib Nurmagomedov further stated that he is enjoying his status as the reigning, undisputed, and undefeated UFC lightweight champion and doesn’t want to ponder over the future until his upcoming meeting with Dana White....

A match between former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung was expected to be the main event of the show. However, on October 26, it was reported that Edgar pulled out due to injury and replaced by The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America featherweight winner Yair Rodríguez. Hermansson came into the bout as the #4-ranked contender in the UFC’s 185-pound division. Another win would have likely put him in the discussion for a title shot in the near future. Vettori, meanwhile, was on the outside of the top 10, coming in as the #12-ranked contender. A win over a top-five guy like Hermansson would be a massive boost to his standing in the division. Vettori immediately showed why he was the betting favorite, as he dropped Hermansson in the opening round and appeared to be close to getting the TKO stoppage....

UFC president Dana White announced Saturday evening on ESPN’s SportsCenter that Ovince Saint Preux would replace injured Daniel Cormier to fight Jones at UFC 197 on April 23. MORE: Athletes who competed in MMA | Was Diaz win over McGregor an accident? Saint Preux (19-7-0) is ranked No. 6 in the light heavyweight division and will now get a title shot. After news broke of Cormier’s leg injury that will keep him sidelined from fighting, Jones (21-1-0) posted a video on Instagram asking UFC to send a new opponent his way for the fight in Las Vegas....

In case you didn’t know… Abdul Razak Alhassan made his UFC debut at Fight Night: Mousasi vs Hall 2 against Irish fighter Charlie Ward on November of 2016. Alhassan went on to win his debut fight via Knockout within the first 53 seconds of the very first round. Alhassan then faced-off against Omari Akhmedov in 2017 and lost the via split decision, before eventually getting two back-to-back wins over Sabah Homasi, first at UFC 218, followed by a rematch at UFC 220....

In case you didn’t know… At UFC 225, Colby Covington won the Interim UFC Welterweight Championship by defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos via unanimous decision.
