Mokaev was referring to McGregor’s comments about Dagestan in the build-up to his blockbuster grudge match with Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. In a recent interaction with James Lynch for MMA News, Mokaev said that his comments were taken out of context by the media. He revealed he doesn’t want an apology from the former two-division champion. Instead, Mokaev said he respects McGregor for what he’s achieved in the UFC and can never question his credentials as a fighter....

No official confirmation has been released from UFC yet about the matter. What else to expect on Jan. 18 The January 18 event is going to be UFC 246, but the promotion is yet to announce the venue of the event as well. Rumors say that it could take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UFC 246 is expected to be huge, as Conor McGregor had announced a while back that he will be making his much-awaited return to the Octagon in that event....

Now the pair will run it back once again in the main event of UFC 209, to determine once and for all who is the best 170-pound fighter between the two. During the build-up to the fight, however, Woodley feels he was discriminated for the color of his skin, something Thompson believes simply isn’t true....

Sporting News, with the help of Sports Interaction, is looking at a contest that is too close to call — a welterweight showdown between UFC veteran Trevin Giles and newcomer Michael Morales. Fighter overview Giles (14-3) made his MMA debut in 2014. After primarily fighting in LFA, he found his way to the UFC in 2017. He is 5-3 with the promotion. Giles lost his last bout in July against Dricus du Plessis....

Edgar is bigger than a 4-to-1 favorite to keep his spot in the title picture, with Faber getting more than 3-to-1 odds as the underdog. Edgar (18-4-1) has amazingly fought twice a year since 2008 and makes his 2015 debut after a nice fifth-round submission win over Cub Swanson to close out 2014. Edgar, who won the UFC lightweight title back in 2010 by defeating B.J. Penn, has made a career of being in hard-fought, close fights....

After her 34-second KO victory over Bethe Correia at the UFC 190, Ronda expressed her interest in the Aldo vs. McGregor card for a title fight against the No. 1 contender Miesha Tate. Ronda said: UFC President Dana White also confirmed his interest in putting Rousey vs.Tate on the Aldo vs. McGregor card, which is most likely to happen at the Cowboy Stadium. One of the revelations that he made while on the show was the potential date of his fight with Brock Lesnar. In case you didn’t know… Bharat Kandare lost his first fight in the UFC fight to 19-year old Chinese sensation Song Yadong at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs Gastelum in November of 2017. He was hurt by Yadong on the feet and subsequently choked out in round 1. Wuliji Buren, who was slated to be his opponent at UFC 227, was also involved in his first UFC fight on the same card, losing to Rolando Dy via unanimous decision....

Jacare Souza’s fights in 2019 Ronald ‘Jacare’ Souza was initially scheduled to face Yoel Romero at UFC Fight Night 150 in April, however, with Romero pulling out of the card due to illness, Souza faced Jack Hermansson instead in a fight that he ended up losing via split decision. For his second fight in 2019, Souza moved up to the UFC Light Heavyweight Division and for his divisional debut, ‘Jacare’ faced Jan Blachowicz at UFC on ESPN+22 but ended up losing the bout via split decision....

Makhachev, who is ranked No.4, was initially scheduled to face Beneil Dariush this weekend in the main event of UFC Vegas 49. However, Dariush suffered an injury and multiple top-ranked lightweights were likely offered the short-notice fight. It has now been confirmed that the Dagestani fighter will take on MMA veteran Bobby Green. Thomson believes Green, who is unranked, is a good enough last-minute replacement for Dariush. The former UFC fighter opined that ‘King’ was offered the fight as there aren’t many top-ranked 155 lbs fighters available....

In case you didn’t know… Colby Covington is known for his ability to stir things up by making controversial statements. His negative attitude towards fans has turned a huge number of people against him. However, when it comes to fighting inside the Octagon, his ability to win cannot be questioned....

I didn’t get no tickets for that fight [UFC 205], you know? That was crazy. I’ll leave him alone. I don’t even want to fight the guy, just let me get a seat. In case you didn’t know… Last week was an immense one for UFC, not only because of a brilliant UFC 230 and the 25th-anniversary show at UFC Fight Night 139: Denver, but also because of the possibility of them shutting down an entire division. UFC’s Flyweight Division has not been the most successful in the history of the company, with fans not that interested in fights of the division, with the exemption of those including ‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson....

In case you didn’t know… The Anti-Trust lawsuit against the UFC has been a long and ugly process which first became public in 2014, and has seen many previously private pieces of information become public. Most recently, a report documenting the UFC’s method for rewarding its top stars with a share of their pay per view revenue has reached the mainstream media and makes for quite fascinating reading. It is worth noting, the UFC will only offer pay per view bonuses to fighters involved in title fights at their events....

Current UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion, Henry Cejudo recently took to his official Twitter account and called out Valentina Shevchenko and proposed a first-ever Inter-gender Championship match between the pair. Cejudo, who recently defeated Marlon Moraes to become the new UFC Bantamweight Champion, is obviously having a bit of fun with Shevchenko while being in character. An inter-gender fight in Mixed Martial Arts is very unlikely to happen at this point, especially in the UFC of all promotions....
