The main event features Anderson Silva, former middleweight champion and perhaps the greatest fighter in MMA history, taking on England’s Michael Bisping. This is a fight Bisping wanted when Silva was on top of the middleweight division.

Silva is coming off a no-contest against Nick Diaz at UFC 183 in January 2015. He won the fight by unanimous decision but failed tests for performance-enhancing drugs. “The Spider” was suspended one year by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Bisping has won back-to-back fights and believes a win over Silva would net him a shot at the winner of the middleweight title fight between champion Luke Rockhold and former champion Chris Weidman.
