In case you didn’t know…

Kron Gracie made his MMA in December of 2014 against fellow MMA debutant Hyung Soo-Kim at Real Fighting Championship: Real 1 and won his very first professional fight in impressive fashion when he locked in an armbar sixty-five seconds into the very first round of the bout.

Gracie then made his debut for Rizin where he faced Asen Yamamoto and won the fight via submission thanks to a triangle choke in the second round.

The heart of the matter

Currently having compiled a Professional MMA record of 4-0, Kron Gracie, the son of the legendary Rickson Gracie, has signed with the UFC and will make his Octagon debut at UFC 233 in January against Alex Caceres.

The report of Gracie signing with UFC was initially broken by ESPN.com courtesy of MMAjunkie and despite the fighter not being active in MMA competition since 2016, we certainly have all the reasons in the world to get excited about Gracie’s UFC debut.

What’s next?

UFC 233 is scheduled to take place on the 26th of January in 2019 at the Honda Center in Anaheim in California and not only will we witness history when Ben Askren makes his UFC debut but we’ll also the chance to witness the debut of another Gracie family member, in the form of Kron Gracie.
